Rehearsal
Pericles
Currently in the festival circuit, Jamie directed the short Rehearsal, a gripping film about gun violence in a California high school. Rehearsal is set to premiere in 2025 and was created in collaboration with ENOUGH Plays to End Gun Violence and Everytown for Gun Safety, and is a two-time awardee of USC’s Mobilize Grant. Directed by Susan Dalian and choreographed by Kitty McNamee, Jamie joined the Dance Nation cast as Maeve, an imaginative and sensitive 14-year-old on a competition dance team. This feral play unapologetically dissects the tenderness of girlhood and the toxicity of the competition dance world.
The West Coast Premiere of Ellen McLaughlin’s modern English translation of Pericles at Boston Court follows a group of people displaced by climate disaster building community and hope through storytelling. “Outside, a monstrous storm rages. Inside, under flickering lights, a group of reluctant strangers is coaxed into acting out, in a converted gymnasium, a wild tale promising redemption from agonizing tragedy,” describes the LA Times.
Dance Nation
Clara vs. Infinity
In April 2026, Jamie directed the World Premiere of Clara vs. Infinity with Eight Ball Theatre. The play follows 12-year-old Clara, who, after the death of her father, travels from Boston to Washington, D.C. to compete in a Pi Recitation Bee, hoping to win a $10,000 prize to support her mother. This imaginative play uses an ensemble of digits, Oh through Nine, as the chorus who help tell Clara’s story. Read more in this review here.
